I have a T-maxx, Its a hell of a lot of fun but if you drive like a crazy ass like me prepare to dump alot of cash in it.

To tell you the truth, theyre a money pit but the fun you get out of it is worth the cost.

Alcahol, 20% nitro-methane and oil

I have an Ofna Violator.

Out of the box, it does 40 miles per hour. Out in the dirt it is just psycho. It has so much power, and goes so fast it is just a kick in the head to drive.

I also have Airplanes. They are harder to learn to fly and require a field. The Cars you can do in the yard.

Stink? yes they smell, not at all unpleasant, there is nothing like the smell of nitro in the afternoon.

Beware of curbs, front end wrecker from

The Electric cars are fun, Batteries are expensive, you need at least two. and you need a GOOD Charger. Don't scrimp on the charger or you will be frustrated with battery performance.

The 1/12 size nitro cars are great, but the 1/8 cars are just psychotic.

200 dollars LOL You can't even get a good electric for that. A good electric car, + batteries + charger + radio will run around 300.

The Violator will run you around 450 on the net.

im going to get into the cars because i want to build a hot rod in the near future. i also want to learn some of the basic machanics of cars and how they work. i understand that rc cars use 2 stroke engins but im guessing if i learn 2 stroke it wont be that hard to learn 4 stroke.

also im going to school to be a machinist. im falling away from paintball more and more as the days pass. so i need a new sport to make projects for... bigger engins, better transmissions, and some other parts is what i have in mind. but i want to get a cheaper one as a learning object.

friends of mine do it

Only the nitro stinks electric doesnt and nitros harder to maintane if ya leave it running without moving it shuts off

check out hobby town usa

Dunno if they got a site

Ive been a little slow today but if you wanna get into hotrods (the real cars) in the future RC cars arent gonna help that....other then the fact they turn and resemble(sp?) real cars their hardly anything alike

yeah the nitro can be difficult often during races ya gotta "pit the car" to give it fuel or adjust stuff can be more fun then electric if you know how to use em
