Hello and welcome to Tippmann. There is a Flatline sticky at the top of
the Upgrades and Customizing section that will take you through the
things you need to check.

Velocity too high + flatline = paint blender. Lower your velocity and use good quality small bore paint, and the flatline will work great. |

The Response Trigger can't make an A-5 full auto.

Since the mechanism resets the trigger after each pull even if you have not released your finger pressure on the trigger the effect is full auto operation. Though technically your finger is pulling the trigger each time a shot is fired, with the RT you do not have to release the trigger between shots. With the trigger held down the RT will continue to fire untill you pull your finger off the trigger. Another exercise in semantics. Response Triggers are illegal on fields that do not allow full auto...because they are FULL AUTO triggers. |
