there are no special upgrade for a viewloader. yopur can get a new
barrel. it uses spyder threads but basically i wouldnt put any money
into it. when i used my VL triton i used it for like 5 games till i
knew i was gonna continue playing paintball. Dont bother upgrading it.
Save up money so when you know you are interested in paintball. If you
put any money into it you will kick yourself in the longrun becuase
they have horrible resale.Play a little and save up for a good gun like
a 98 or a5. you will be much happier with a more reliable gun in the
long run.

I would also not suggest putting anymore money into the gun. Your new to the game, so work on your skills first. Then once you feel your outgrowing your gun upgrade to something along the lines of a model 98/98C.

The sniper game is pointless, believe me I used to think I could do it too. It just doesn't work.
Don't bother with pistols, waste of money in my opinion. |

Luckily, there hasnt been a sniper debate for a while. Look into a 98c if you plan to get a new gun. It's great for beginners and has lots of upgrades. |

i have a question how come you chose to go with a viewloader gun..the best choice would be to start with a 98c and work up... thre are not really very many upgrades avaliabe for a viewloader gun.. so like everyone else here said do not waste more money.save for a 98c kit for $180 on www.paintballgear.com

Chances are he already has a mask and tank, so the kit would be more money he wouldn't need to spend. Just get the gun by itself. You can find it for like $130ish

I agree play until you feel you have outgrown your marker then upgrade to a 98c or A5 you just can't go wrong with either of thoes markers especially the 98 it's bullet proof, so simple almost nothing can go wrong!!!

on junk. and sucking beginners in by saying its a great starter gun. my
friend spent $200 on a view loader triad. and it sucks.

Take the advice of You Wont See Me, work on your game and see what type of gun you will need for the style of game you are playing. You have a very good beginners gun. I have a Genesis(loaner gun), along with my C-98(woods-ball marker) and upgraded Spyder Compact(Speed-ball gun). And it's a very good gun, my wife loves it. It's compact, light and pretty as she says compared to my C-98, which is long, heavy and ugly.... :)
Example, if you play woods-ball and you are going to be a "sniper" or lets call it a sharp shooter instead, to avoid flaming. You are going to want a long low profile gun. So you will want something like a C98 with a stock, remote, maybe a flatline, you will want some good camo and maybe a ghillie suit to blend into your terrain. If you are going to be playing speed-ball you will need a more compact gun with a higher rate of fire. You could always go for like a '04 BKO. It's cheap, fast, accurate and reliable. I love that gun! Anyone have $300 to lend me. :o) |
