I don't think using a
rocket with a nice paintjob is good, but maybe it's just me, because it
ruined mine each time, so now I'm using Lacquer paints and no rocket
cock, but it's personal preference I guess...

i think i accidently use an enamal base coat and then a lacquor clear. which might be why it started chipping after the first time i used it after painting it.

With your Tippmann being mech, a Revvy will work better they will feed it just fine, and they have 10x less profile.
