I've seen pictures and have heard that you can just unattach your air hose from the  regular  tank port and  attach  a  Co2 tank directly to the gun, making  it more  compact .  I tried this and  it worked, but  I couldn't take the tank off afterwards. It was  extremely resistant. When I managed to unscrew it a little, it started releasing air and I couldn't get it off and it started to  chill the gun. Has anyone tried this? If so, did you just use a wrench and unscrew the air hose from the tank port, or would this be damaging? Thanks.

i tried that, and it didn't work so well. all it does is make the gun front heavy,.

If it wouldn't unscrew, perhaps you slightly misaligned it when screwing it on, or you need to oil it.

Yeah, I just realized that you can take the horizontal tank port off at the base of the handle. But if anyone has tried this, please post.

It is possible that I miss aligned the tank because when I took it off, the o-ring was broken.  Hmm?

You can use a LPk and attach it.

When you partially unscrew it, shoot the gun a few times to get rid of the extra gas.

And change your O-ring.

please don't do that.

It doesn't make the gun more compact, it give you a huge tank sticking straight down under the gun.  If you want your tank out of the way, pick up an extremely long drop and use it with the a-5 adapter block.  get one with an on/off and it will fix the problem of air hissing out of the gun when you try to take the tank off.

Everybody needs a mech cocker. They are just so smooth and sexy; not like those 5 sec robo jobs.

If you cross threaded then the co2 would have leaked out right when you first moved it.  Did it?  Ya this is a good setup for indoor ball and it makes the gun compact but innacurate and weird looking.  I wouldnt do it because it looks funny I say.

My guns name is Mr. Max in remembrance of my dog that got hit by a car: Tippmann A-5
