Tippmann says only to use Hoppes oil, cause certain kinds can break down O-rings and stuff. I used a different kind of oil, I think it was Extreme Rage, and it created a problem wit my O-rings, so I switched to Hoppes.

Extreme rage isn't the best paintball company.

Use Hoppes #9. Less than $3 for a 4 ounce bottle from someplace like WalMart or K-Mart, or the local gun store. Or use an ait tool oil. LIke $5 for a large bottle from whatever hardware store, or the hardware section of your local department store.
Or you can spend $5 for a tiny little bottle, for some paintball specific oil that is no better than either of the above, but comes with some cool looking picture on the bottle, some cool sounding technobabble on the package, and costs about 4 times as much per ounce. |

Some pro-shop idiot told me that I shouldn't use my gun oil because rifles don't have O-rings, so I asked him if air-tool oil would work. He said no because air-tools don't use cold CO2. But he was full of crap and just wanted to sell me some green colored water in an Extreme Rage bottle that said it was intended for paintball markers only.

I like WDP Love Juice oil. Thick, and very concentrated.
