specs are as follows: 98c milled painted, Evo II, double trigger, 12" quiet riot, shocktech drop, freak impulse grips, blowback vents, Co2 what i planned on getting until the ebolt dawned on me ..: black ion, 68/45 PE fiber tank, 14" CP classic barrel, hybrid scarface grips, hybrid clamping feedneck, redz tank cover .. Now my question is should i get the ebolt (aprox. $240) for my tippy or just get the ion (pkg. aprox. $600)?.......(if i get the ebolt i will get the n2 tank too...$205).. |

I have an E-Bolt, and it rocks, BUT ... I have to say, go Ion instead. Why you ask? Well, before long, Tippmann will cease to service the E-Bolt, and the Ion is going to be around for a LOOOOONG time, so upgrades/service should not be an issue. Plus, the Ion is 17 BPS right out to the box, outstripping the E-Bolt easily. Sorry gang, but I have to vote against Tippmann here ... |

A lot of people are asking questions like this. I would say just go for whatever you feel like playing with. Keep in mind that if you ever go to sell your Tippy you are gonna get about half of what you paid for it and everyting on it. If it were me I'd get the Ion.

i like the security of the tippmann and not having to worry about them breaking. Also other companies sell ebolts and u can get them on ebay for about 120

I would go with the ion. If you think you will sell you Tippmann eventually, don't put a lot of money into it. The resale value is already bad enough. I think you would be happy with the ion.

Ion, there nicer then i thought, but if you want to spend a lot of money get a ebolt," tippmann or other brand" then a new lighter rear bolt new board for it and then Hpa and a HaloB or Egg2 with xboard. wow, if money was not a option then Id get both..
