I would just put a piece of tape over the letters then cut them out (so only the letters are covered).

Shouldn't be that hard. Just use strong tape like duct tape or maybe that blue painter's tape. And also have a sharp knife and it should be pretty easy.

Use an X-acto knife. It should be very easy with an x-acto knife and painters tape.

buy car primer then a lacour spray paint then car clear coat its going to cost a bout 20$ for all of it . just make shure to take all of the powder coat off, its going to take a wile, took me 14.5 hours for mine. then after  that wash off well and  then use light coats of every thing also as a note let every thing dry well before a second coat of anything take extra care when puting on clear coat, no more then 1 small coat every hour or so also be shure to sand your primer well so its even, and hope it turns out right. and one more thing, when you paint, prime, ect. hold can about 12 14 inches away and make shure to shake your can or whatevery very well.
