    Posted: 14 September 2005 at 11:34am

I am about to buy an A-5 in the next month or two and was thinking about an E-Grip. My question is how do you adjust the Rate of Fire? Do you need to take the grip covers off to adjust? Also I play woodsball only. Only on a rare occasion would I go to a field. I shoot Evil/Midnight/Proball (Not any more)/Marbs (Sometimes). I have an all american barrel for my M98 and may just get the adaptor. How do you install the adaptor? From some of the pictures it looks crazy! Or should I just get a new barrel for the A-5? What one do you think I should go with? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks alot!

You adjust the modes of fire with a tiny screwdriver. I don't think you need to take the grip covers off. I don't know about the adapter but I'm sure it would be very easy to install if you read the directions. Welcome to the forums.

To install the adapter I think you just take out the one already on the A-5 and replace it with the new one. Look in your A-5 manual on how to take out the old.

Thanks for the welcome Rossy. I wasnt sure how I would be able to change the settings. Thank you!

SuzukiRider, I do not own the A-5 Yet I am still waiting on money from the Autococker, and a few other things until i can purchase the A-5. Thank you though.

Take it easy

If you get an adapter for the A-5, make sure to NOT get the screw-in kind.  The A-5 has interchangeable threads, so you can actually switch out the threads entirely for 98/cocker/whatever threads.  That way you won't have the goofy extra inch of quasi-barrel.

e-grip has two adjuster that you change with a small screw driver. One is the mode and the other is max fire rate. The adjuster are right under the tigger with small hole in the grip to get to the adjuster.

The barrel adapter (if you dont get the screw in type) the way to change the threads is simply loosen the front screws turn the barrel that is currently on counter clockwise 1/4 turn then pull out.

This is how you change from stock barrel to flatline
