I just bought this A-5 from my friend and immediately starting doing a little milling of my own. Just finished and have a ton of plans for it. I know its not your typical A-5 since I am going more for the speedball look (just to be a little different). I have posted the 98 before, rate them both if you would like.
Tell me if you like it, you won't hurt my feelings. Future plans include black to blue fade powdercoat, LP kit with matching blue LP chamber, CP regulator in matching blue, powdercoat the dye barrel blue, Ricochet hopper (R-5), E-grip, the same exact Shocktech drop and Smart Parts on/off, JCS trigger, aluminum powertube, and thats pretty much it. |

Not many mill the A-5. I like it, dont stick your finger in that back hole..... You should rig up a rear cocking thing to come out of that hole. Nice. |

pretty nice...I like the milling on the sight rail of the a5 but i don't like the whole...it would have looked nice and clean if you just left it closed and it looked like a tube...ah well, anyway get a centerfeed and an ebolt for that sick 98 and your all set! You should also think about milling the sight rail on the custom as well

You guys will probably laugh at this question but why would a person mill an A-5, i have one with a LP Kit and HP and an E-grip, how would the milling help?

Be careful milling that side, when the metal gets thin it gets really weak.

SuzukiRider987 the pipe is amazing, the lightest and most accurate barrel ever. The inside is so mirror smooth and the construction is solid. The porting is amazing if I misfire and chop, it clears out in 1 to 2 shots. Love it. ANARCHY_SCOUT the front grip was put on by my friend, I hate it, but it will work until Christmas when I will get the LPK and the CP reg. evillepaintball, as for the hole in the back, I didn't intend for it to be there, but as I was milling I noticed it was getting shallow, then the metal fell through so I improvised with the milled out hole. I wish their was some way to get an endcap that I could mill and powdercoat to the contour of the rear site, but until then this will have to do. That part of the gun will be black anyways, so hopefully it will be less noticable. Roll Tide I made sure I had plenty of metal to hold strong, at the thinnest place it is half a centimeter at least (rear site). The side milling is the depth that every A-5 is at, I just removed the sticker and the paint then made the ends smooth. Also, there is no pressure applied to any of the places that I milled. >><< just to comment on the whole KP deal, you can't annodize A-5's or 98's because of the poor manufacturing process. To annodize the gun, typically, has to be made from a solid block like cockers or any other high end gun. It will be powdercoated anyways. Edited by m98AHA |
