Is it smart to buy a drop forward with an on/off valve?  If so, what parts do I need to attach it.  Isn't the hole for the gasline on the side?  You must need a 90 elbow but does this require a different length hose?

What kind of gun do you have? Taking it's a 98c... then all you'll need is a 90* elbow, and you can use the stock hose.

Not really. I mean, the hose is long enough to screw into the stock ASA, so it'll screw into very small drops/uni's... and it's also long enough to screw into larger drops... like my large Bullet, which is one of the largest out there. So unless you're getting an extremely big/small drop, then the stock hose should work.
