Yes, I'm a noob to this forum but I searched and didn't find anything on this so here goes.  I've just installed several new upgrades at once (I know not the best idea).  Anyway, I installed a drop forward, a GTA x-chamber a DOP RVA and a DOP proseal powertube and front bolt.  Now the previously working marker isn't exactly working.  It will fire several times and then start stuttering like the CO2 tank is empty.  I re-cock and it will do the same thing over and over again.  I checked all the hoses and fittings and there weren't any apparent leaks. so I removed everything up the the vertical adapter and attached the CO2 tank directly to it hoping to bypass any thing up to that point.  It kept doing the same thing.  Anyone have any ideas?  My next step is to remove the vertical adapter and see if I did something to the valve when I put it back into the powertube but I'd like to avoid that if someone else has a better idea.  Thanks in advance.

First of All, you should never use aftermarket internals, the stock ones are the best in most situations. Replace the stock internals, and see what happens. From the sounds of it, you either have a Blown Rear Bolt O-Ring, or a worn sear... But those crappy aftermarket internals could be at fault also.

it's not that the after market internals are crappy - there not - they just don't make any improvement so the money you pay is not well spent

I would recommend removing the DOP ProSeal Powertube and putting your stock powertube back in.  If this new powertube lacks the FVA, your marker will have significantly lessened back pressure to blow the hammer back.  If this does not solve your problem, try removing the RVA also.

The Drop Forward, X-Chamber, and Vertical Adapter are not likely to cause this problem, unless you've got a leak somewhere.  I assume you used plumbers tape or locktite on all of your hoses.

Yeah, I used loctite on all the connections for the fittings and hoses and checked them for leaks under pressure with soapy water... that's all good.  Which is why I connected the tank directly to the vertical adapter and like I said before it still has the same problem.  So today I'll replace the new powertube with the old one and see what happens.  One other question the Proseal powertube has an extra hex screw that sticks out of the opposite side of the powertube than the velocity adjuster and can be seen sticking out of the right receiver.  Any ideas what it's for?  I couldn't find anything on the DOP site or the instructions that came with it.  Thanks for the suggestions.

This is going to sound very stupid, but I had this experience once myself- several shots with very inconsistent velocities, then suddenly the marker would fart, stutter, or jsut stop shooting.

Open it up, and make sure the orange ball detent isn't in backwards. If backwards it can slow the travel of the bolt enough that it might not hit the valve hard enough to fire fully and reset the bolt.

The ari system shouldn't be problematic; or if so, it should be consistently problematic- nto several good shots, then sporadic stuttering. Check the ball detent.

just screw it in so no air comes out but not to tight. the stock power tube doesn't have a screw there just a flat end.

Well, I switched out the powertube and it works just fine.  So that little "upgrade" was a total waste of money.  Maybe when I'm bored I'll try to get it to work.  Thanks for your help.

The Custom Pro comes with a power tube that already has the hex screw. Do you have a custom pro?
