I know there are multiple centerfeeds, RufusDawg, Lapco, etc. but do all of them require extensive modification to the gun? I've just been wondering how easy it'd be to attach one and take one off. I know the hole position would have to be changed, but how hard would this be to do? I'm assuming it'd require professional installation, but would the old hole be left open in case you wanted to switch back to something like a cyclone hopper?

The Rufus Dawg is the best. It requires you to drill a new hole in the top of the gun. However, if you don't feel safe doing this, Rufus Dawg will do it for you, for a small fee. And it comes with a plug for the old hole, so you can utalize it later of you need to.

The Rufus Dawg centerfeed does not feature the breakaway option; it becomes permanently attached to the top of the marker. You could take it off and put back on the original one, but that would leave a hole in the top of your marker. Same problem if you upgraded to a cyclone. Drilling the hole for the verticle feed is not too difficult, as long as you are comfortable with a drill or dremel. There is also a screw to install that holds the feed securely in place, which requires another hole drilled and threads tapped into it, so you would also need to be able to use a tap. If you are not comfortable with this I would recommend getting professional help. If you think you may want a cyclone, I would suggest making up your mind and going either one way or the other, and not plan on switching later.

lol, already got a cyclone, its just i've been wondering, not even thinking of getting a CF, but just wondering about the challenges one would face and how you would go about w/ a centerfeed. I already have a cyclone, and its fine for me, I was just wondering if someone got a CF if it'd be able to be detachable.
Just me wondering questions about it....not thinking of getting it or anything. |
