I liked the upper rail on XArmy's gun so I raided my parts box and
came up with this rail to add to my marker. Just a minor addition but I think I improves the looks. And for those who are concerned about weight...not heavy at all. Just looks a little hefty but most MilSimmers don't mind that. The TacLight comes off easily. It depends on how we play if it stays on or not. Also someone asked me about the mounting of my sling. Look at the inset in the lower right for that.

Yeah, It's a paint technique called "dry brushing." You just kind of hit the raised areas with a brush almost dry with silver paint. If there's interest, I'll post a "how to" in the modification section complete with photos. Just let me know. |

I like it a lot. It looked awesome without the rail, but it really helps. Nice job!!

Most of the parts like the top rail, the electronic sight, Grip cover, polymer magazine, etc. came from local gun shows. The regular paintball parts, like the EGrip, and hopper came from HobbyTown USA. The drop forward came from Academy Sports, the front handguard and Lapco barrel came from Opsgear as did the mag adapter...it's kind of a "gun stew" huh? I'll start doing an article on how to do the paint in the next day or so...look for it in the next few days. It'll take a little time to do the photos. |

I don't see where on OPSGEAR you got that handguard from. Must be an
older one. I really like the top section with the M-16 carry handle,
the scope rail, and the handguard so I want to do something like that
if I ever pick up an A-5 again. It just looks like such a kickass setup
to have (if the clip could be moved back a bit)
