Ive got a 98 custom that ive got to fix for my friend. Whenever the tank is screwed into the bottomline enough to release co2 the gun will imidiately begin to cock back and forth. Ive made sure the sear isn't the problem and I am pretty sure it might be the cupseal. I took unscrewed the bottomline from the valve/powertube piece and poured oil down the hole and pushed the piston up and down to make sure the oil was spread within. Now I am guessing i might have a faulty cup seal and need to take the valve out of the plastic piece. I am unfamiliar with the 98 custom valve and need instructions on how the metal piece is removed from the plastic sleeve. One of the threads for the valve screws came out and im hoping that can be solved with Locktite but if that doesn't work I was wondering if anyone has any tricks to rethread it (put some kind of soft metal in there and use a little Locktite and rescrew the screws etc.). Any advice? Thank You.

Push it out by shoving a pencil or something through the skinny end of the plastic sleeve.

Go to  Marker Trouble? Read Maintenance Archive and read my post (the last one) about disassembling the valve and where trash gets causing leaks. Sounds like there must be a large piece of trash in the valve seat
