here is my problem i have a tippmann a5 and i bought a on/off valve
for it when i first bought the gun. the valve is not a drop
forward and i didnt think i would need one at the time, i though it
would be wasted money. Now that i am in the market for a palmer
male stabilizer i relized that i might have a problem, the co2 now
rests about 2 or 2 1/2 inches from where the stabilizer would
go into the gun. My question is how: long is the palmer male
stabilizer and would i have enough room to mount it, or would i need to
buy the drop forward to get enough space to get the stabilizer in there?

You should be find the stab is exactly 5 1/4" long. If you would like i can give you any measurements you want, although i dont have an a5 to compare it to.

alright so let me help u out now.. ur co2 is resting 2 1/2 inches away from the stabilizer? if u could post a pic that would be good, but i wouldnt see why the stabilizer wouldnt fit...if its too close you just can use macro to get the distance of your tubing right. idk if this will help u but take a look...i did a search n found this

^^^ yes ok, now take that same pic and turn the c02 around and that is what i am dealling with. so instead of the co2 going towards you it is going towards the end of the barrel (pointing away from you).
---and by the way what is that thing that makes the stabilizer go farther up the gun???

thats the vertical adapter for the a5... now i understand what you are saying, its what i thought but just wasnt sure...what you should do is just switch the tank so the butt of it would go into your shoulder or armpit, when it is switched around you would not be able to fit a palmers in there, only if you had a tiny tank would that work if you dont want to deal with that, you can get a female stablizer and flip it around. the female stabilizer is the same stabilizer but it works as an ASA |

the stabiliszer is about 1.2 inches around and about 4 long. you could buy a different type of stabilizer as well. i settled for an inline stabilizer and found the performance the same.
