the regulator is leaking so is it safe to take it apart and inspect it

The lucky thing is that most of the dumb people who play paintball would never be seen near a pump gun. Not dissing angels or guns that cost as much as my car, but...

You probably screwed it in to far, this happened to me as I was trying to adjust the air/gas mixture. I was using an older propane tank as well (slightly rusted valve - not a good idea) and I believe the tank valve thing got pushed in and got stuck there. It leaked (not a lot) for a while after I took it off. So my suggestion is to unscrew the reg all the way and buy a new coleman tank or somthing and try it again. If that doesnt work then you might have to take it apart or send it to Tippmann.
