i posted this in the new players fourm in case this looks fimiliar i bought a lpk at d**k's sporting goods for $30 (it came w/o the rear cocking kit, which tippmann is sending me). i finally got my hpa tank filled, got it home and got my reg set to about 375-400 psi (which, correct me if im wrong, is what tippmann recomends) i shot 200-300 shots (if that) getting it dialed in and running some paint throught it. ive got a 3k psi hpa tank and it was FULL. it now reads 1700 psi(giver or take) i checked for leaks w/ leak detector(aka soapy water) and i didnt see or hear anything that was a leak. is this normal for this much air to be used? i thought i could get more shots per tank than that. |

My first guess was that the valve is holding open too long.

Did you use the stock rear bolt assembly? If so, that is your
problem. That is bad for the valve too. The valve spring is light and
that will smack against the back of the valve and also let alot of air
out. If you want it to work right, set the reg to 800psi with the
stock rear bolt. With the new lpk bolt you can set it to 350psi.
