I was just wondering as i took my gun apart to check it, whether the newer rear A5 bolt is better than the previous one.

The stock internals are best for Tippmanns.
Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Assuming you're talking about buying an aftermarket bolt, don't. They're just a waste of money, stock internals are the best.

Yeah new bolts will serve no purpose. Tippmann has one of the best stock internals I've ever seen...

wow...you guys aren't too bright.  He's asking if the New style rear bolt is better than the Old style ones.  The answer is yes.  The new ones are lighter due the the plastic insert. instead of the aluminum one.  At least thats how my 98c is.  should be the same on the a5.

Correct! It appears that all of those "me too" posters didn't read the original post, doesn't it? I hate it when that happens  (all too often).

Agreed.

It could have a downside, if it's lighter some people may find it even harder to get their velocity higher without a spring kit.
