I received a LPK that said it was good for the Custom PRO but there no option to put the ACT system in? Can I just use my old rear bolt and use a lighter spring (I have a sping kit).

I could also bore out the heavy bolt and put holes in it to get the weight about the same.

I would have to use the side bolt handle if I modified the spring or bolt…this should be OK, the rear handle is only to reduce friction right, and I am using 100% synthenic lube.

Any help would be appriciated, I want to keep my ACT technology it really works great and I want to use less air

You could get a new spring, cut into your bolt to lighten it. Then you would be done if you have the new valve and volumizer.

Otherwise you would have to lighten the valve spring, mill the valve body away to allow more air to pass through. Then get a volumizer. Its been done, but not on an ACT though.

No I have the whole LPK kit from tippmann, it just won't work with the ACT.

So I should be able to get the weights really close then use a lighter spring and be OK...very cool

any other helpfull advise is appriciated

I would use the stock bolt with the LP kit. Try it first. If there is a problem switch to a lighter power spring. I believe that a light enough power spring will allow the LP system to work. Let us know whether it works or not.

Yeah, didnt think of that. Definatly try the stock bolt.  However, where is he going to get a lighter spring? Cut his stock one? or spend more money on a spring kit?

So I just put on the LPK with my stock bolt and the lightest spring(bought a spring kit already) I had and gave it a go...I was at 300psi with what looked like a good fast ball.  I adjusted down to just alittle and got the fast studder so I set it back up to 300psi.

I haven't cron'ed yet but I think I am pretty close!  Thanks for advice.

300psi is pretty good with with the stock bolt

Velocity is the real factor on this. Get it chonoed and see. But I think you might have the best ACT low pressure conversion.

I used 200 balls and ended up with 350 psi and a 280 crono.

I did notice a quieter fire, plus much less kick and better balls pure tank...about a 100 balls more.

It seems more accurate too.

Awesome. Thats what Tippmanns are all about, moddability.

I wonder how well it would work if you lightend the bolt?

Since Tippmann doesn't make an ACT bolt I probably won't find out.  the stock bolt is steel so drilling it out would be more trouble then it is worth.

I am very happy with the LPK!

Good to hear that it was successful and that you are able to run such relatively low pressures.
