All the posts on this site have been very helpful with my R/T. But now i have another problem. I finally got my R/T tuned to the sweet spot. After i do a good burst i losse it. I have to let the trigger click back into the forward position before it will fire again. I just have to let it go forward about a milimeter and then i can start a new burst. I don't think it's a problem with the R/T but with trigger assembly. Will the "straw mod" or pen springs help this situation? |

R\T can be like that...you hold it, it fires, then it stops, and you release it, and repeat, until you find the perfect spot (by precise tuning) it'll do that for...well..as long as you take to tune it just right. When I had my R\T at first I could only get it to go bursts of 6, then after awhile I tuned it so that I could actually HOLD the sweet-spot for atleast 50 balls, then it would stop again....and people still ask why I switched to the E-Grip

Like Mr. 47 said just tune it and some practice with trigger pull will help your problem. You are not going to empty your hopper with one pull of the trigger with the r/t. If thats what you want go e-grip.

I can do just that with my RT, and so can a bunch of other people. If you CAN'T empty your hopper in one string, there is room for improvement. |

Really? what am I doing wrong? I can only get a rope of about.... I'd say 30 to 40 balls. I'm kinda happy with that. Paint is expensive!

Clark.. I have never seen someone with a STOCK R\T able to empty a full hopper w\o pressing the R\T atleast three times.... by that I mean I have never seen someone be able to hold it for 200 rounds....maybe a Super R\T could do it, but I doubt it.

I didn't say stock. All it took for me was straw mod plus practice. I later removed the trigger spring and added the "super RT" hoses, which made it easier. I have since gone LP, which obviates the super RT, but I can still empty the hopper, and so can anybody else I lend the gun to. If you go LP, I recommend turning up the pressure a bit from the "normal" levels. (Caveat - if I use CO2 I freeze. With nitro I can empty the hopper. People with good anti-freezing add-ons should be fine with CO2 as well) The straw mod is the greatest thing ever. The super RT is the second greatest thing ever. And when doing the straw mod, try different straws. Everybody's gun is a little different, and different thicknesses work for different people. But again, my gun is nothing unique. I have lost count of how many A-5s and 98s I have see unload hoppers at top speed. Edited by Clark Kent - 29 September 2006 at 11:26am |

I will agree with Lightningbolt. With the stock r/t trigger finger pressure is the key!
