98 Custom Pro Response (valve question)

Update.....I pulled my gun apart to get a better idea of what I'm getting into to.  I can't figure out how to get the valve out of the power tube because I can't seem to get the air line off...it's really tight!  Any suggestions?????

I've already broke the power tube were the R/T enters it.   I put the gun back together and it seems to fire okay other than the still leaking valve. 

Should I replace power tube now too??????

Maybe I should have just sent it to Tippmann........

first, make sure you took off the two valve bolts located on the outside of the gun, so that the powertube/valve/air line assembly isn't connected to the reciever half anymore.
as far as getting the air line off, it'll take quite a bit of force, because when they put the gun together originally, they used red loctite, which is pretty strong stuff. i'm fortunate enough to have a big vise bolted to my workbench, but a good adjustable wrench will work too. once the air line is disconnected, take the eraser end of a pencil(or any blunt-ended tool), and poke it through the narrow end of the powertube, and it'll push the valve out the other end. then simply slide in the new valve, making sure to align the threaded holes with the holes in the powertube.
