Topic: Best File-Shareing Program? Posted: 01 October 2006 at 1:46am |
|
I keep looking for a great file-shareing program.. right now I'm useing Limewire Pro, but it has nowhere near the results of Shareaza and Emule.. but I can't get either of those to actually DOWNLOAD, I even setup Port-Forwarding and still nothing...Bearshare actually had more results than Limewire which is odd since they are on the same network..anyway if you guys have a great file-sharing program please tell me!

Ok, and what's the best Torrent program? And should do I once again, have to set up Port-Forwarding for it?

I am going to lock this because I am going to assume that since you aren't figuring this out for yourself, then your intentions arent really to go and find the few non-copyrighted materials that are out there.
Try using Google.com

Not quite, I already own all "The Simpsons" dvds, I'm just having trouble ripping them so I was going to just dl them all to my HD. Why would I use Google.com? There are thousands of P2P programs, but there as SO MANY bad ones. I guess I'll just use Bit-Torrent.

Well in that case it would be alot easier to ask for a DVD ripping program then it would be to download all them. And try explaining that to the RIAA when they serve you with a court case.
google + peer 2 peer file transfer program reviews = win.

If I own the DVDs... they would have no case at all...besides, RIAA just got sued BIG time by Limewire.. something tells me they're going to be backing off for....quite awhile. Besides, the chances of having RIAA come to get you... let's just say, if it happens, GOD (You), must hate that person. Anyway, the dvds are partially scratched that's the main prob. Anyway, you can close the thread if you really think it's bad.

.....I just told you, the dvd's are scratched....normally I would take the CP off and just use Roxio. You know what, forget it, I'll just ask on Zeropaid.com the file-sharing forum.

Good Idea. And FYI: [If I own a music CD,{or DVDs in this case} is it legal for me to download the
digitally compressed music for that CD (exact same version) via a peer-to-peer
music service?]As a technical matter, it is illegal to download a recording
from another that is not yours. As a practical matter, there is no reason to do
it. It is easier these days to rip a recording from a CD than to download it.
And, when you rip the CD, you do not open up your computer to all of the spyware
and other viruses that are part and parcel of most illegal P2P services.
