My son frequents the PbNation site and I took a look at it the other night. I noticed in the Theft Report thread that there seems to be a whole lot of reports of scamming going on on that site. Do any of you feel safe when dealing on sites that allow B/S/T of items? I have allowed him to buy a couple of items from there, but only from guys that had a ton of feedback and only after I personally placed a phone call to the individuals involved. The boy wants to sell his Shocker, but with only 2 entries in his feedback I'd be wary of him shipping before he gets payment. |

I frequent B/S/T but not on PbNation, and I love it I have not been scammed once, although I do all this on a AutoMag Owners Site so we are usually a tight group and don't like to scam people

If youre selling a marker for cash, say that payment must be made prior to shipment. People normally follow that rule. Your thread, your rules (within reason).
BTW, how much for the shocker? |

If you are heads up about using the BST there it should work out fine, you just need to be wary of who you are dealing with and in addition theres multiple moderators that do third party trades in the case that you are trading, if you are selling obviously you receive the cash before you ship the gun, anyone who disagrees can shove it basically.
I'm a mod there so if you have any questions I can give you a hand as well. |

you can always opt fora 3rd party service. you each send your end of the deal to someone, usually a respected member that has an established 3rd party service. This person checks each side, then ships things out after everything checks out.
Honestly, pbnation is one of the best place to buy or sell paintball stuff. you can find some good deals and usually sell stuff fairly quickly. Some things to ask for would be full name, address, phone number, feedback, driver's license number (if they don't have a license, then they're pretty young... a call to their parents might be in order), and pictures of the said item with their s/n next to it if you're buying something from them. I've been in your son's situation with only having a few feedbacks, and it's hard to sell stuff and have people feel really secure with you. Best advice is be mature, reply to pm's and im's as quickly as possible, and be as honest as you can about what you're selling. Also, if you need little cheap parts or accesories, you can always find them on pbn to get more feedback. Most of mine are from small deals less than about $20 or little trades. Those, mixed in with 5 or so high dollar gun deals makes for a pretty good looking feedback thread. Selling stuff is a heck of a lot easier than buying stuff though. Usually, people don't ship stuff out until they recieve the money. I also highly suggest using USPS money orders. As some forms of cashier's checks and what not can sometimes be forged. Always wait until the checks clear and everything is good before you ship out the gun. Paypal's always a good option too, but i don't like the fees and it's a bother when you have to ask people for 3% more. |

Yes there is... Palmer pursuit. when you third party to them(its like $30) but they look over the marker and make sure EVERYTHING works good before they ship it out if not, both parties are contacted and told what is wrong with it, and most of the time palmer can fix it for a small fee.... I did this when I traded my E-cocker, everything worked out great my gun had a small leak which turned out to be a torn o-ring($.15) charge. |
