Apex is better it does have better range than the flatline and you can shoot around corners if you learn how to use it correctly. Also to top it all off you can get an adapter to put the apex tip on a different barrel so you can get better close range accuracy.

i have the apex and compared to the flatline its about the same, i think it breaks more when you are shooting fast though but it could just be me

The Apex and Flatline are basically the same. The only advantages the Apex gives you are trick shots, easier cleaning, and in some people's testing, a bit better accuracy. Either one is a good choice though.

go with the apex is you have to buy field paint in your area. if you can bring your own, the flatline will work well, otherwise go for the apex
