E-Trigger Issue

Well, I just bought a used A-5 from a friend. The E-Trigger battery was dead, so I replaced it with a new one. Dry fired, and it worked great. I hooked up some C02 today, fired, and it worked great. After unhooking the CO2 and firing to empty out any excess pressure, I took I downstairs. I went to dry fire to show my brother how fast i could shoot on auto and it fired once, then stopped working. I used a screwdriver to turn the Trigger off, opened it and replaced the battery, assuming it had died but wondering why it died so quickly (it was a new battery). I replaced it, put the trigger on, and it worked fine for a few shots. Then, instead of the trigger not working, I heard a light "ticking sound" even when i had released the trigger. I turned the grip off again and tried making sure the battery was connected. After trying this a few times and getting the same result (sometimes it would work for a few shots/trigger pulls) I was stumped. I then left the battery in and turned the trigger on with the armature pin in. It appears as though the solenoid (I believe this is what the shiny cylinder is called) is driving up easily but having trouble going back down. Could that be the problem? I can PUSH it down and it pops back up fine.
So, does anyone else agree that this is the problem and, if so, do you know how to fix it? I can't lubricate the solenoid or anything, right?

I assume your talking about a WAS or APE board right? On my WAS board, there is a magnet underneath the solenoid (shiny cylinder) that helps reset the solenoid. Maybe your missing one?
