New to the forum, so first of all, hello all! Second, anyone here into milsim/scenario and have any inside info on fields in GA/FL (moving around all the time complements of Uncle Sam, so trying to get a feel for southern GA).
The Marker is an A5 I bought stock, then modded to sim my weapon, few more things left, but well on its way. Edited by dustin85 - 08 February 2008 at 8:26pm |

Nice gun. I do like milsim. Friendly advice though, you might want to turn
your front site post around. It's on backwards right now. Edited by nauzerlvr - 08 August 2007 at 8:43pm |

...WOW...I am REALLY embarassed right now...I did not even catch that. The GAU's we use have had all the iron sights removed, but I left it on my marker because I thought it added a 'little something'...I haven't had to use the A2 'iron sights' in ages. THANKS! |

Aside from the paintball field on base, I have given up on southern GA, and am broadening my search to northern FL, anyone? I checked on PBreview and did find a few more (thanks for that lead btw), but most are at least as far away as just going to FL. As for the A-frame/front sight, it is now fixed (and I should be ashamed for not noticing that earlier)! Updated pics coming very soon!

lil hint, you may find with a mask its still hard to utilize the dot or scope or whatever you have up there, even with the riser, try and find a mask with a soft bottom half mouthguard or if you must use a hard plastic one try one with the slimmest profile, the vforce profiler or the E vents masks work best, they are older but the vforce morph also works good, thats what I use, I can't get a good cheekweld ovbiously but I can get a chinweld at least and being a rifle shooter instinct kicks in, at first I hated the fact my first mask was a JT and it was wide, had great coverage for the neck and stuff but me and that stock/mask combo didn't work too well, just a suggestion for ya to consider nice m4gery

Sorry! Back after a bit of a 3 month 'vacation' if you will!
Marker is nearing completion- I have shaved the stock rear sight and installed the carry handle (Thanks in no small part to Nauz's expertise!). Still kicking around the idea of installing a charging handle, and still waiting on the milled front sights (putting real iron sights on the marker, more for fun than anything else, but it makes a day shooting targets pretty fun once you get it as zeroed in as possible with paintballs..) Here are a few pictures before the paint touch-ups...standby for some action shots! *Please excuse the quality of the pictures...forgot I loaned out my real camera, picture phones are just NOT THE SAME!!
