Hey guys, this is linked to an idea for making my own paint grenades, but I have to ask this question.
Does anyone know the outside diameters of the various paint grenades, and what size tubing they use? I can easily pick up 3/8" tubing around here, but any other size i have to order. I am building my own grenades filling station and launcher, I need to size up the grenades so I can figure out a barrel diameter. The following would be helpful, Squadbuster halves, Big Boy's Pod Rockets. |

I think it depends on how thick the tubing, and how much you want to fill them.
I would just go ahead and make some nades and go from there. Also check out, http://www.instructables.com/id/SE77YMRF3R9YIY6/ I think they just used regular old latex tubing, doesnt really say. |

oh yeah, i already researched how to make them, i plan on using a blockage design, less chance it will go off from the force of ejection.
If i'm careful about the tubing size, I can use airsoft BB's to block, making them even cheaper. |

Grenades can be filled at different capacities. So you have to fill some up to get a good size. After that, you have to make every grenade the same size. I think a launcher would be a waste of time and resources. Just throw them. Remember, if you use the medical tubing, the latex begins to lose it's ability to contract back to normal size therefore after you fill them up, use them soon. |

I use 3/8'' OD and 1/4'' latex tubing from lowes. With this, you can use a garden sprayer (reccomended) or a hair spray pump bottle (the ones you buy empty at a grocery store and are typically filled with water). I can provide a ton of info if wanted.
