Sorry I am new here, but I thought it was the best place to ask this question. I looked for other post like this but have a short attention span.

Which of these would you suggest, I don't see a big difference but one is cheaper so is it worse?

Well, the product links you gave are dead. Fatal error apparently. Anyway, I did a little looking and found that the first one you mentioned is the JCS Cyclone and Ratchet "pro" kit (which I believe is actually the JCS "Jet Click" mod), the second is the Vortex Mod.

They're both metal which is going to last a lot longer than the stock plastic components. I haven't had enough experience with either to really give you a good idea of how well they work. I can tell you that the Tech T Vortex mod is far more popular. Whether that equates to better quality is to be seen. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either as Blackpoint (JCS) makes some pretty good stuff.

I haven't heard a whole lot about it. What I have heard is good. It stands up to use, no issues from those that have used it. As far as I can tell, they're all about the same. There's only so much innovation and designing that can be done to a ratchet after all.

OK, that is weird. The links both worked earlier, sorry about that.

Does anyone know of anything that really makes one better than the other? Like you said, how much improvement can a company really do other than make it metal? Thanks for the reply.

Let me try the links again:

Sorry don't know why the links are not working. But yes I am looking at either the JCS or the TechT ratchet mods. Are there others out there?

The website I was looking at them on is www.milsimproducts.com - they have some cool stuff has anyone ever bought from them?

I have never heard of them till I saw them on specops forum.

This is what I get from you links when I hit them:  Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/john/public_html/var/run/classes/modules/WholesaleTrad ing/dialog/product.php on line 54

As to your question.  I have no idea about the JCS ratchet replacement.  I have all the TechT mods and they work wonderfully.  I wouldn't discount JCS.  I love their Duel Trigger that I have on my A-5, so I can't imagine the quality of their ratchet would be suspect.

Armson Raised Sightrail
DOP Bullet Drop

DOP X-Core
DOP Vertical Adapter

i went with techt and had no problems, jcs might be cheaper but some times cheaper isent that great tho. tech made the cyclone parts first and i rather trust them, but then again tech and jcs are probly the same in quality.

I would recommend JCS only because is easier since you dont have to be cutting springs or anything like that. I have a JCS on mine and it works wonders. Now the reason why i think TechT is more popular is because they have the whole upgrade for the cyclone, lightning rod, QEPH, you know the whole 9 yards. Some some people just like haveing the whole kit from them rather that buying one thing from one place and the rest from TechT.

JCS is cheaper and also eaisier, only cheaper by a few bucks but is made out of aluminum just like TechT. So dont worry about whether one is better than the other because they are not, they are the same with the same purpose. Just TechT has the whole cyclone upgrade as i mentioned before and JCS only has the ratchet.

NewDesignz is like that too.  No cutting of the spring, but they have the entire upgrade system as well.  Really you cant go wrong but if you want one without cutting the spring go JCS or NewDesignz

there is a space in the links. take the space out and they work fine

any metal upgrade from the stock one is good, JCS and TECH-T both make quality upgrades

The Vortex mod increases the cycle rate a bit, Im not to sure on the JCS one
