    Posted: 17 April 2008 at 1:18pm
Long story short, I found myself on top of one hell of a deal.

I posted on TorontoPaintball in the WantToBuy threads, saying I've got $400 for a Tiberius 9, with all standard accessories, 3 extra magazines, thigh holster, and 3-magazine pouch.

Half-hour later the phone rings...  Seller lives and hour away.  I hopped in my car, took the T-9 for a test drive, and handed over the cash.  He had everything I asked for, and more (the T-9 "elite" package excluding bipod).  So, here's what you're all waiting for (unfortunately from my crappy webcam...)

The T-9 in it's case, with muzzle break, magazine and mock-supressor.

The T-9 next to my A-5, with the constant air adapter.  No hopper yet.

I read many reviews on this marker before jumping into this, and there was not a word of a lie in any of them.  This gun can match the A-5 featured above, only it can do it stock, using 12 grams.  It is the most freakishly accurate marker I have ever fired.  It also has a very distinct sound, and the trigger pull is perfect.  The fact that this will never be anything but stock mechanical is next to no loss after you feel the light pull.  (It's slightly heavier than my e-grip).

Not long ago I was contemplating where I could go from my A-5, and I decided that the only thing I would settle for would me an Automag, but after reading reviews on the T-9 I was sold.  After a short bit of research, I realized that the T-9 essentially was built just like an automag in just about every respect, and really, when you picture an automag and the parts that are functional, you essentially get something that looks like a pistol.

Long story short, I love this thing.  I am very happy with it, only problem is the constant air adapter doesn't fit normal remote hoses, so I need to get my hands on a lathe or something.

If anyone is looking into this marker and has any questions, I'd be happy to answer :)

my friend just bought one... he loves it... we were taking bets on how many times he would take it apart the night he got it...turned out to be 3... more fun was betting on how many pieces he would leave out of the gun and wonder what they went to... personally i like my zeus G1 which was given to me by some dude at a scenario game... just need to replace the o-rings to make it work... congrats on the find hope you enjoy it.

p.s. sorry for the back story

Looks good. T9s are crazy fun guns to play with.

It's better than my A-5 in every way, and close enough in firepower for me to be happy about it.  The trigger pull is light enough for me to manage 10bps without breaking a sweat if I ever need to.  My only potential problem is I may need a motorized hopper.

It did, but I have no use for it, it's literally only cosmetic.  I have no use for the extra rails etc as well, and I will likely never play with that fake suppressor attached.

If I don't use it 100% as my sidearm it will be used as a low-profile marker.

Did you get it with 4 magazines, a holster, and a 3-mag pouch?

Anyone who would sell that for $250 is crazy.

I played for the first time with it yesterday, it's amazing.  My only problem is my play style generally requires a decent rate of fire because I'm an "in your face" player.  Having only 8 shots is a huge limitation, and until I get a hopper adapter from my friend, I will likely never use this as my primary weapon unless I have my sights and stock attached.

3 hours worth of paintball and I fired a grand total of 80 rounds, with 7 kills, 5 of which were headshots.  Only 2 games I even fired more than my first 8 round magazine.  It was fun as hell :D

you and me both, when i got my ariakon for the first time, i was allways worred about running out of shots, having 10 shots a clip is alot different then 200+.

its definitely a different game play thats for shure, but that's what makes it fun.

it could be the paintballs, when you put a paintball down the barrel, does it roll in vary easy, if it does the paint is a lil small.

alas i did not get 4 mags a pouch or a holster, i will hang my head in shame

As far as the accuracy goes northblade. It's most likely your paintballs. The bore of the stock barrel is rather large so i find it doesn't handle smaller balls as well. Also make sure you have both detents installed.

Yeah, the way the balls are behaving leads me to believe it's crappy quality paint, or, as stated, much too small bore size.  Usually that would lead to a lot of chopping.

Try Marbelizers and Nel-Splat.  Nel-Splat works flawlessly and the paint is large enough bore to not just fall straight through the barrel.
