Yes, and Yes.
The most common way to attach an expansion chamber to a 98 series marker is by using a vertical adapter. They are available at a variety of locations. (I just linked the first one that showed up in the search I did.) They require taking the marker apart and removing the valve from the shell, then removing the air line from the valve. The x-chamber ends up replacing the plastic part of the front grip once installed. Edited Note: In your other post (you only have two at the time I'm posting this) you mentioned starting a paintball field. Given the level of expertise displayed by your questions it might be a good idea to hold off on that until you have more experience in the sport. The potential for injury from mishandling compressed gasses or other safety related problems is significant and the liability issues involved could get quite serious. thanks for the advise. but have already started my field. tough i did a lot of research and practice prior to stating my field. i have even dropped the marker speed down to 210-220 FPS. am not filling the cylinders beyond 8oz for 20oz cylinder and 4 oz for 9 oz cylinder. all the fillings and marker calibrations are done personally by me. we along with masks are providing neck protectors, chest protectors, gloves and cups for men.
would request you to let me know if any other serious aspect has been over looked. cheers |

I would still say it isn't a good idea to start a field when you are new to the game yourself. Most players who have played for 10+ years don't have the knowledge and experience to run a field. I have seen many fields flop due to inexperience and poor planning on the part of the owner.
Do you have paintball field insurance? Netting on all the fields? Paid referees? Waivers? Did you have safety inspections done on all your fields and equipment? Do you have a certified airsmith on-site? These are just things I thought of in less than 5 minutes at 1 in the morning. There are a ton more factors to consider. |

Yuck . . . rental cups. On a serious note; my personal opinion is that you are a liability suit waiting to happen. Good luck. |

An expansion chamber allows liquid CO2 to expand into gas before entering the valve of the marker. It helps prevent "drop-off" and helps to keep the marker from freezing due to a high rate of fire, or cold weather.

yes we have Netting on all the fields? yes we have 12feet high Paid referees? not yet Waivers? yes it is mandatory to sign the document before getting to the briefing area. Did you have safety inspections done on all your fields and equipment? the field- twice a day equipment daily in the morning prior to play Do you have a certified airsmith on-site? yes we have an air smith on site(got him from the air rifle association) and as for the CUPS or the family Jewel protectors, ARE NOT RENTED BUT SOLD.. thanks for your concern i appreciate that. to eliminate further gas problems in terms of filling to capacity we have ordered 50 20oz tanks so we may not have an issue due to low fill on purpose. we already have 40 20oz tanks and 40 9 oz tanks |
