I have an A-5 with a 14" SP Linear barrel, folding stock, remote and 32oz. CO2 tank in a tac vest. Looking to upgrade the internals. Are there any worthwhile upgrades for performance increase? I play primarily woods ball so fifty million shots per second isn't of huge importance.
Thanks |

Stock internals are best for Tippmanns. However, the cyclone internals can be swapped out to increase the cycling rate.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

e-grip? Higher firing rates help a lot, even when playing woodsball.

Alright, upgrading the cyclone system was the way I was leaning so confirmation is excellent. Thank you very much. Upgrading firing rate then...what would the difference between and e-grip, response trigger or just going to burst firing or full auto marker be...other than cost?

As for the cyclone I prefer the JCS Jetclick b/c you can get it cheap off of ebay. I beleive I found it readily available for about 25 which included shipping. As for ther RT vs the E it comes down alot to prefference. I am a bigger fan of the egrip because you dont really need to find a sweet spot to burst it out more. As for the perks of the Rt you dont need a battery, its less expensive. The cons are that it is harder to fire alot faster, you usually need CO2 over HPS unless you go for the super RT upgrade. The egrip is equally pro and con based. You need batteries and the faster firing with CO2 can cause alot more freeze up of the gun. It also fires fasteer and when used with CO2 is very consistent. That is what I have experienced at least though others experiences may differ.

Does anyone have opinions on the parts like the Lightning Rod & Vortex mod or the soft silicon paddles for the cyclone or vented piston housings? What about upgraded bolts?

I have all of the TechT upgrades with the exception of the Squishy Paddles which I ordered yesterday. The Cyclone mods work just great. I have my A-5 set to fire at a maximum of 20rps and it works flawlessly with good paint. |
