i went to fire my a-5 the today and it wasnt re-cocking it self? icant figure out the problem. i did get a new power tube and front bolt but i after it wasnt re-cocking i but the old power tube and front bolt back in and it wasnt re-cocking. i also got a metal double trigger(blade style if that helps) and i thought that might be the problem so i but the old back in. same results. also when i mean it wont recock it makes a burping noise until i take the gas off. i did do the mod where the cocking handle moves back and forth one of borg tech's videos on youtube. i would really appreciate it. thanks Taylor |

That my be your problem right there. I've not seen the video, but it makes the cocking handle move when your fire, right? To do that you would have to attach the handle to the front bolt or linkage arm, right? So if the front handle is hooked up to the front bolt, and the front bolt is on the linkage arm with the rear bolt, BUT if you didn't remove the spring for the cocking handle, then the blowback process now has to compress two springs instead of one. The main drive spring, and the cocking handle spring. So if both springs have to be compressed they require more force to fully compress them both to allow the gun to be cocked. But the blowback force stays the same and doesn't have anough force to fully re-cock the gun. Check it out and let us know. |
