Hey folks,

Hopefully someone here can help me with the problem i am experiencing with my Tippmann 98 Custom pro e-trigger.

After a few plays and a few diss and reassambly's i tried to polish the internals of my marker. For this i also removed the powertube.

After this polish job wich in my opinion went very well, i reassambled the tippmann and went to the paintball course.. when i did the speed test it did not exceeded the 240 fps while before my adventure it went easy to 310 fps.

Also after the reassambly i found myself having this part tube kind of part and not knowhing where to put it:

< http-equiv="CONTENT-" content="text/; charset=utf-8">< name="GENERATOR" content="OpenOffice.org 2.4 (Win32)">< style ="text/css">

Its a small tube kind of part, 3 cm (1,2 inch) long and ½ cm (0,2 inch) wide.

< name="GENERATOR" content="OpenOffice.org 2.4 (Win32)">< style ="text/css">

hopefully someone here can tell me where the fps drop problem comes from.

Is it the unknown tube i cannot recall to remove from the marker.. or did i do something wrong with the powertube?

thanks in advance :)

It is the "spring cup" and fits into the groove on the top of your bolt. The long upper spring for the ACT fits into it. Check your instruction manual and you will find it.

Thanks i disassembled my marker and it fits..

Also i noticed i put the upper spring with the pin the wrong way in.

But its not described like you said.. the upper spring is not described at all in my parts list nor anywhere else in the manual.

But im sure the problem is solved now.. thanks again!

Make sure you have a manual for an ACT equipped 98.
