No, the Platinum, being made of much better material (hence the name "Platinum") can only be polished with the softest of agents. It requires the use of oil distilled from the glandular secretions of the larval form of the rare Malaysian Centrophasma Spinosum insect. This oil must be gently applied in a counter-clockwise motion under the light of a full moon by a vestal virgin initiate of the order of Christ of Montfavet' using a brush made of Himalayan Albino Yak hair. No polishing motion should be allowed to exceed more than 2 cm in diameter and each separate piece of the marker must be finished before the moon wanes to avoid inconsistencies in the finish. Edited Note: Some purists claim that having a highland chant performed by teenage female members of the Clan MacGregory occurring during the polishing will speed the process but I have found no evidence supporting this.
