I found an HPA tank on CL. I asked what the date of the tank was. The seller replied there was no date on it. Looking at all the new tanks online, shouldn't they have some kind of date stamp for hydro-testing? If it's not date stamped or marked in some way, how do you know/remember when to have it tested?

It looks pretty beat up for only 4 uses. Get a new one (Ninja paintball makes a good one) so you know what the Hydro test date is.

If I read the date right it was made in June of 2005. I think the 6 (A symbol) 05, in the lower left hand corner is the date.

^^^ What CK said. It is June of 2005. According to the link below it is a 5 year tank, so you are within hydro until June of next year. Most places with re-hydro for $20-$35.00. I know of a place in Toledo if you need someone.
I would agree though, it looks pretty beat up from the pics. Might be leary unless you could physically go and pick it up/inspect it. Good luck. Edited by oldpbnoob - 13 October 2009 at 10:03am |
