Tippmann needs to create a 5.56 Mag well for the Phenom. The SMG kits look good, but the small caliber mag well that the Phenom comes with looks goofy w/ the M4 and other assualt rifle kits.

This doesn't fit the Phenom.
Here are the accesories for the Phenom: http://www.tippmann.com/usa/product_guide/markerDetails.aspx?category=X7Phenom#
They only have small caliber mags currently for the Phenom.

Ah, you are correct. I'd imagine Tippmann will rectify that soon.

Someone posted an after-market 5.56 mag (with mag well) that fits the Phenom someplace here in the last few weeks.

Yep, that's the Scenario Arms Phenom 552 Mag. It looks great, but the issue is it costs $55, is custom made, and takes 2 - 3 weeks. Not sure I want to spend $55 on a piece that does not to enhance the performance of my marker. It definitely increases the realistic look of it, but I'm willing to wait to see what Tippmann or other vendors come out with.

Here is a question that's been kicking around my head for a while and I don't know if Tippman has even thought about this, why don't the make an Assault version of the Phenom. That is rather than issuing a mod like scenario arms why doesn't Tippman make two versions of the Phenom. I know I would buy a second marker if it meant that I could have an Assault & SMG X7 Phenoms!!
