Someone should make a graph.

Perhaps number of FE threads on the x-axis, and rapid decrease in interest on the y-axis.

I can remember evenings back in 2002 when we would pass the 100-member load capacity on T&O and everything would time out. Back then, threads would get a minimum of four pages worth of comments, and one thread would be pushed to the second page of topics within hours.
