FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MAY 9, 2010

F.O.G. Leads World Team

A grudge match between super-powers! This September, Tippmann will once again attempt to overtake the World in a massive two day event at Hell Survivors, located in Pickney Michigan.

This year, The Fraternity of Gunmen, comprised of Canada’s Northern Gunmen and the Grassy Knoll Gunmen from Johnstown Pennsylvania, will lead the World team.  These two teams have joined forces to exclusively sponsor the World team, a feat never seen before at an event this size.  The F.O.G. will be joined by special guests and teams......Tippmann has never seen such an impressive adversary.

At the Tippmann-World Challenge game , two armies of over 500 players engage, attempting to eliminate the opposition while keeping control of bases located throughout the field. Points are awarded for eliminations and base control. Each time a player returns to action, their player card is scanned and points are awarded to the other team. Additionally, each base is worth a certain amount of points, and the points grow each minute the base is held.

On September 25-26 2010, Tippmann World Challenge enters its 12th year. Being noted as the greatest rivalry in paintball, a battle is brewing - one destined to be fought in Hell

The Grassy Knoll Gunmen have spanned almost a decade as a team......winning numerous MVP, MVT awards and they have had several team articles and pics published over the years.   As a huge part of the MISSION MASTERS game series,  the GNG can be seen running and gunning with the best of them.

Both teams love the TWC games........we just stepped up to play our part and help support this event.  Over the next few weeks we will be releasing more info regarding the event.

June 2, 2010

The F.O.G. have been hard at work preparing for their upcoming role as the driving force behind the World Team in the upcoming Tippmann World Challenge.  Doc from the Grassy Knoll Gunmen states "We are working hard to provide the best support possible in order to bring down Team Tippmann from a back to back victory, and also to provide a great social event for players both on and off the field.  We are coordinating with players and teams and are already on our way to victory in 2010".

Team Tippmann has many veteran teams and players on their side and even with the dominating field play the World team showed last year, it was Team Tippmann's experience, hard work and determination that drove them to victory.  That being said, it will take co-operation between the ranks and players of the World Team in order to de-throne Team Tippmann.

"For the F.O.G. it's not all work either" says Shortbus from the Northern Gunmen....."We will be bringing thousands of dollars worth of prizing ranging from Full Clip to Global GenX to Valken, and we are finalizing plans for some evening entertainment for everyone....not to mention a few surprise guests too."

More news to be released as the event gets closer.

The Fraternity of Gunmen are very excited about Tippmann World Challenge this year. We have been planning and working hard with Dave Massey to help bring you a great event this year. Many have been asking who this years generals will be........this is indeed the largest yearly grudge match in paintball history so it only seems appropriate that we choose 2 of the best for this job.

As each team has two Generals we were given the task to choose two worthy individuals.........

George Moschgat will serve as our first general. George has years of field time and has sat in the command chair for many games and has yet to be defeated. In 2008 George was the general of the World team and served up a defeat to the Tippmann team. As a member of the GrassyKnoll Gunmen George is hardcore and will not quite until his job is done.

Our second general is none other then Mike Paxson......Member of Team Ironmen. Mike has been playing professional paintball for 12 years with teams like Ironmen, Aftershock, LTZ, and the Bushwackers and has a World Cup championship under his belt. Over the past few years we have had the opportunity to spend time with Mike on and off the field at different events and we believe Mike is a World Team member that can help ensure a victory against Team Tippmann. Mike has generalled his fair share of games including Living Legends II where he served up Sean Scott's first defeat. Mike seems quite at home belly crawling through the mud.....so watch out.

We look forward to hitting the field with our fellow team mates.......

Just remmember my motto: "Age and deception, overwhelms youth and enthusiasim every time."

Been at this since the 80's, OMHW Original, Vietnam Veteran (LRRP Team member Co N 75th Inf, 173rd Abn Bde). I will be out there watching, swimming the swamp (did it a few times in the past), General 'Hunting' and poppin anyone who looks like they are in charge of something or someone. That loud, accurate, moded 68 Special out there is me.

Played TWC 1-7, Tippmann, and enjoyed every one. Knees have been replaced, a lot more mobile now, and ready for the 'hunt'.

Best of Luck to Ya, 'RANGERS LEAD THE WAY'

I here ya oldsoldier.......and we never underestimate any opponent.   But I will say this.........The FOG are made up of scenario and woodsballers at heart...although we all have tournement or speedball experience we feel at home in the bush.   Over the years we have learned to adapt to many fields....whether they wooded or not.  We have our share of stealth and experience and  we have more then a few players who have been doing this for 20 plus years.........

Can't wait to hit the field.......and hang out with all the players in the evenings......

Thats the best part, the comraderie after the games. Miss it. I love woodsgames, Infantry to the core. "Too light to fight, too heavy to run"
is the motto of the Light Infantry. I wish the core of OMHW were still involved, but as the name implies "Old Men and Heavy Weights", many have moved on.

If you're knees aren't up to it, bring the dirt bike, or a Rascal.

The F.O.G. beleive that what happens off the field is as important as what happens on the field. The friendships and comraderie play are a huge reason many of us travel and spend so much time at these events. We will be having a social saturday evening after the first day of battle.....we invite players from both teams who will be camping to join us for good times. We have a little entertainment planned......so bring over your camp chair, a story or two and and maybe even a beverage and we'll have a meet and great while we watch some classic war movies on the big screen.

See you in 45 days.......

Murph

That is why I travel from Nebraska to Michigan, for those nightime comraderie get togethers, and for the sat and sunday morning breakfasts at 'Chippers'. I even bring my bunker tunes from a long time ago and far, far away, and for a few hours I am 20 again. Sleeping in my jungle hammock slung between the trees, sterno stove heating my canteen cup of coffee, the occasional rain drops on my poncho 'a' frame, swinging to sleep. I do need a place to park and camp out if the old guard of OMHW can not make it, any help appreciated.

Was on the phone with a pb partner today throwing around the idea of showing up.  I really don't want to reveal the tippmann project I have going but may play for tippmann.  Really wanting to shoot my autococker though.

This was one of the most Intense games i have ever played in, I fought on peace corps, (nato for hsi) and spent alot of time working for the Tippmann team. Running Helicopters, Tanks sometimes just being cover for young players. The second day Tippmann did great but we were too far behind to make up the diffrence in score
