. . . you to "Stop doing what you're doing," especially when you've been hitting him with cheap shots all game long, AND you throw the first swing at him, don't be surprised when this happens.

I'm not excusing Johnson's actions at all. I'm just saying.

Also, Finnegan looks like Pauly-D.

Every so often I like to sit back and enjoy how insane hockey is. Like I think some sports are weird, but hockey is a whole new level. It's in an enclosed area with boards around it, on ice skates at high speed, with frozen rubber and sticks, full contact, and fighting is part of the game.

Basically NHL is manlier than NFL.

I've watched Finnegan make some excellent plays during his time with the Titans, but he definitely goes overboard annoying and taunting the other team. He also draws some pretty stupid penalties sometimes that greatly hurt the team. Most all of these could be avoided if he'd dial back his attitude.

Johnson could have handled this better but hopefully the fight will remind Finnegan his childish antics after plays should not and will not be tolerated in the NFL.

While this fight doesn't help the team, I feel the Titans have a bigger problem finding a good QB who can finish an entire game. Angry

Finnegan has had this coming for a while, I'm glad Johnson landed 2 or 3 solid shots.

I hear JaMarcus Russell is free. He's already worked out with the Dolphins and Redskins.

I've got Andre Johnson on my fantasy team, so I'm hoping he gets a fine and no suspension, but I'm skeptical that it will happen like that. Most likely Johnson gets a game, Finnegan gets two.

"I would like to apologize to the organization, our owner, my teammates," he said. "What happened out there wasn't me."

Pretty sure it was you, actually.

Finnegan deserved it. A.J is a pretty mild tempered person, and for him to go off like that, Finnegan must have been really running his mouth something bad.

Even if he wasn't saying anything, Finnegan was jamming AJ's face mask play after play.

Oh that makes more sense. I didn't get to see the game, so I was going off Sports Center. But messing with a players face-mask on every down will definitely get you beat. I really don't see how Finnegan thought he could take on A.J. That dude is a giant with freakish athleticism.

Finnegan has a history of going one step too far. He's a thug.

Exactly.  I was at my friends barracks earlier and he had this vid pulled up on this blog where someone had cut a video that showed Finnegan pushing on Johnson's facemask in like 5 or 6 different plays.  There's a difference between jamming someone in the first 5 yards (as I'm sure you know) and deliberately pushing a facemask, and it was obvious.

It was obvious Finnegan was waiting until him and Johnson were out in the backfield, away from the eyes of officials. The face jamming happened on run plays where nobody was looking at them.

It explains why, if you watch the video, the first thing Johnson does when he snaps is grab Finnegan by the face mask and wrench off his helmet.

TBH, I don't think Johnson was trying to rip his helmet off to fight at first, I just think it was payback for all the face grabbing.  It wasn't until Finnegan kept ripping at Johnson's helmet until he got pissed.
