Barrel compatibility and other questions

   I have a 98 custom and I want to know if the barrel will fit an A5.  I have an expensive mod kit and would like to use it on an A5 if possible.  If this is not possible are there any ways to improve my velocity besides the velocity adjustment and new velocity springs?  Will using two spring simultaneously make a difference?  Will using two springs cause a problem?
