Hey all!! Does anyone know or remember how to remove the internal air line from the 68 special?
I was able to remove the screw in the back where the bottle goes, but the line does not seem to want to budge at all. I don't want to try and force anything yet so i don't break anything.
any advice is appreciated
Pete

Hey man...
first, sorry about my poor english... well, my 68 special have the internal air line and leaking co2... to repair this, I use the tube 1/8" TECALON (material) but I never could take off without cut the tube... this happen cause the air line is mounted like down diagram: | X | ..... body marker = ......... brass washer [ ] ........ nut to valve ]]]] ....... brass screw --- ....... tube way { CO2 } ... Cylinder // front // =[ ]--------------| X |-= ]]]] { CO2 } // back // this way, we don't take off marker body the air line system without cut the tube. Well, to "move" the brass washer out of screw house, use the slim screwdriver and poke the brass washer side by side... push the tube in other side of screw house (internal of marker) slowlee to put de washer out of the screw house... holp help you ![]() |

Hi Keep484,
the diagram of 68 Special is too easy... look that http://www.paintballtech.org/diagrams/Tippmann%2068%20Special%20Diagram.jpg Well to test the real causes of front leaking, take off the END CAP + Rear Bolt and Spring... and put CO2 on the line... If keep leaking we need look like more details...If not leaking... is caused by pressure of Rear Bolt in the valve... OR Valve Seat ORing no good... ![]() I have problem in this Orings too... I try all things... hot glue, other oring, PVC Rubber and others... all works 5 ou 6 times... and break soon Look my valve all disassembled... ![]() Other thing to think is who long is the air line ? cause is the all valve if puted to front and open the front sear... Tray pull the Rear Bolt (hammer) like ready to fire before conect the CO2... maybe works... I like so much the old school markers ![]() one more time, sorry about my poor english |
