    Posted: 02 March 2014 at 3:38pm

I just bought a new E-Grip H.E. for my A5 and am having an issue with the selector. The semi auto selection doesn't seem to work. It doesn't matter if it's on F or FA it still fires whatever the special firing mode is set up. So it acts like the semi-auto selection doesn't even exist. I searched on the forums and couldn't find anyone with the same issue that posted about it. Has anyone else had this issue? If so what is the fix? Or should I just contact Tippmann to have it replace?

Not certain on the newer e-grips but on the older ones the instructions directed that the metal slider be removed from the trigger.  I seem to remember that uncontrolled fire would be the result if this wasn't done.

What metal slider? I sent Tippmann a support ticket on Sunday to see what they say. Still waiting for a reply.

They finally got back to me. They stated that if it has a red board it is most likely an assembly problem. They said they had a batch of grips go out that had the incorrect safety installed in them. They are sending me the proper replacement.
