I need some help on picking a new gun, I've sold all my toys and other
junk and I got about $1,500 to spend. I was looking a new the Angel
g7's and Dye DM6 my buddy has a DM6 and I don't want to copy him or
anything so I'm leaning towards the g7 but is there anythings else I
should consider?
thanks |

I'm not sure how much a g7 costs, but take things like hoppers and drop forward and tanks into consideration |

i have a 68ci PMI Fiberwrap tank, also I've looked a dropforwards and
some other things that will set me back $100.00. The hopper I partly
own from my bro its a Halo B with rip drive he uses on his 05
Speed.they just opend a new speedball feild up here in the AK. I don't
think I would make it with my Tippmann 68 carbine that has a 3lb
trigger. any suggestion on dropforwards, tanks, and hoppers whould be
great.

if u are looking at a g7 get a g7 fly they are now only 899 at actionvillage also angel need a low pressure tank so if you don't have that you will be looking at buying a tank. one of the best guns on the market right not if not the best is a planet eclipse ego if i were u id look into one. also a bob long infamous timmy is a great gun to look at.

People tend to hate on Angel owners. If you can't take that then get an Ego so you can be "cool." If you really want a G7/Fly then definitely wait until the One is released. |

i know almost everyone at my feild and i've been playing with an old
school .68 carbine with a solid copper air line and regular gravity fed
hopper.. I'm one of better players out there and now its time for an
upgrade. g7 fly is where im headed maybe even the new angel (buddy of
mine works at a shop) i don't know. i like the feel of the angels and
everything else just had something that didn't feel natural to me. i
will check out the other guns you mentioned and ill leave my
input.thanks for yours keep it coming.
what about barrels, drop forwards, tanks, hoppers etc...? thanks again Edited by ak_storm - 04 June 2006 at 5:36am |

Stock is fine. If you upgrade, get an Orbium kit: www.fixmyangel.com Hybrid Grind or Unimount. Crossfire 45/45 or 68/45 LP, or a Macdev Legionair. Reloader B or Halo with at least a Victory board. |

for 1500 there is alot of nice guns. all the egos but the sl66 is
in your range, the light trooper nexus's look awsome.
theres also the 06 cyborgs, angels, all the different shockers the hybrid is one of the sweetest out |

I've been through tons of high end guns, and even though this sounds
cliche, ask people at your field to try their guns before
deciding. Everything in that price range becomes personal
preference.

I recently shot a dm6 at my local woodsball course...dont ask...and it
was freaking amazing, I was shooting liike 15 bps and I had never
actually walked a real trigger in my whole life. Im sure now that
Im experienced I could hit 20 and up but Id go with the dm6, Ive never
tried an angel anyway...egos are good too. or you could go for a
shocker and then upgrade the gun like crazy and get nitrogen tanks and
covers, and harnesses, and drop forwards and boards a magnettic
trigger, a body kit, freak barrel kit. the upgrades are endless!

I can promise you you will never be able to truly move your fingers 20 times a second. The gun might have been bouncing or ramping, or, more commonly, you dont realy know what 15 bps sounds like, and you were guessing. I did it all the time before I got my ramping board for my viking and was able to find out what it truly was, and I realized how slow I was shooting. Anyway, get an Empire or Infamous 2 06 timmy, buy a technatrigger and a virtue board, and I promise you you will be set. |

ya try the gun out first before you buy it...i was going to buy an autococker, and my friend just bought one. I was up here in my room trying to buy it, but my dads credit card for some reason wasnt working (working now). So i just waited to buy the autococker. I went paintballing the next day and tried my friends cocker out. I HATE the feel of them, and im not going to buy it. So with trying my friends cocker out i just saved myself alot of money. Bought myself a 72/3000 tank and a proto el switch anti fog mask instead.

I shoot a sl66, by far the best gun I have ever owned, my son is presently shooting Angel G-7, it is also very nice but not a paint friendly as the sl66 but that is mainly due to the bolt design. If eclispe were to aftermarket thie dart bolt design alot of guns would perform really well, have fun making you decision
