 i love runnin so i guess i dont have your problem at all i dont do track i do cross country its a lot more fun than running an oval

Soccer > Track

YOu get to kick stuff, slide takle people, knock people down, and you get into REALLY good shape.  Also, most of the time you don't even think about running, you just think about getting the ball and scoring or passing it to someone who will score.  Another thing, you don't really do that much running, i learned last year that in a game you normally have controll of the ball (yes, that inculdes just touching it) 2% of the game...so most of the time you're just jogging getting into position.

I used to pole-vault. I wasn't ever heavy enough to bend the pole too much, but I cleared 12'6", I'm 5'10", a few times. I nearly cleared 13' once or twice.
