My 98 Pro E has some weird gaps on the grips, I took everything out of it and just put the receivers together but I still had the weird gaps. Anyone have any idea on what else I could try?

Yeah I'm sure its lined up properly.

Its a fairly new gun (bought it in november I think) so maybe it has something to do with the new powder coat job that I've heard about? I'd strip the paint now to try, but I'm still waiting for a couple more parts then i'm going to do a whole new paintjob so I'd rather wait... Any other suggestions?

Yes mine is an A-5 and it does the same thing. I will be trying soon some shaving from the inside to help that also i think the ASA has something to do with it. When i take of the ASA that doesnt happen so i believe i have to do some filing down where the ASA goes. That might help it and also the tape would be great, i just think it doesnt look to good and im very picky for that. Anyways a good advice if you dont want to file anything down or go through the trouble ;-)

Remove the ASA screws and try it again, and start with screwing the middle screw in first.

I've seen this before, and I remember it was something like that.

No, that doesn't help. I tried removing everything (absolutely everything, all I had was the two receivers together), so that I could eliminate the problem by adding things in one by one, but they still wouldn't close properly...
