I also have a tippmann 98 custom.I'd personally go with the Electronic Trigger It's good and its only 50-60 bucks which isn't bad for Full auto. Also Get You a electronic hopper.I have a halo but for you i'd go with the OverDrive hopper For like 40 bucks.Go to paintball.com

888paintball.com or any paintball store and look around.Remember different stores different prices.I'm just givin a list of stuff i've seen

There's no such thing as an electronic trigger for the 98.  You could get an r/t trigger that uses the gas in your marker to rapidly fire and usually about $75 to $100 or go with an e-bolt which would cost you at least a couple hundred.

Upgrading you marker depends on you and what you want out of your marker.  If you want distance, go with a Flatline barrel.  If you want rapid fire, either an r/t or e-bolt will do the job.  Make sure to pick up an electronic hopper if you increase your rate of fire so you don't chop as many balls.    If you're using co2 you may want to think about an expansion chamber.  If you want your marker to look like a military weapon you can get mil-sim junk at a whole bunch of different websites.

Most importantly, remember this, half the people on the forums know less about paintball than you.  Don't take one person's word for anything and do your research before spending your hard earned money.  www.pbreview.com is a good site to help in your research.

I have a 98 Custom as well, if you can get the A-5 it's a much better marker, but thats off the subject.  I personally had the Flatline barrel system.  Which is great if your playing in Temperatures about 50 Degrees or above.  But if you aren't i'd get the Comp-Air system which is about the same price as the Flatline barrel which is around 120$ at your local retailer.

If you want Full auto or burst modes i'd go with the E-Bolt electric system if you can afford.  It's about 300$ (Ha... thats a lot eh.) But if you have the money Thats a definate thing you'll wanna get.

some sites to get paintball tish for cheap are:

action village
888 paintball
county paintball
shop4paintball

the kind of upgrades you want to get for your marker really depend upon the way you like to play... do you like speedball or woodsball better?

lol. there is no electronic trigger for 50-60 bucks. and a electronic hopper wont cost 40 bucks.  there is a response trigger system which increases your rate of fire to about 13bps.it cost about 80 bucks. and an ebolt which cost about $230-$240 which increases the rate of fire to 13 bps and gives you different modes of fire. electric hoppers range anywhere from $30-$140. if you get the response trigger, which i reccomend, i would get a 12v revvy hopper.

for a site... www.countypaintball.com  www.paintballgear.com www.800paintball.com www.888paintball.com www.firstcallpaintball.com those are some of the common ones

Get ideas from my sig. I can get a new e-bolt for $160 The e-bolts aren't being made anymore but there are still some floating around, so if you want a new e-bolt  get it soon. Soon i will be getting an inline palmer stabalizer but most people prefer the male palmer because it goes into the front grip.

well, a remote coil acts as an expansion chamber so you gont need to buy one.  a double trigger an r/t sound really good. but if u get the response trigger, then you have to get an electronic hopper if you want to use it. they will feed the balls faster as you fire to prevent chopped balls in your gun and blank shooting.  and by the way if everyone doesnt know yet....they quit making the e-bolt for 98c now.  there was a really big post about it on the forum like a week ago.

Let me make a suggestion noone else on here has made yet....

If your new to paintball, you don't need to upgrade your gun, AT ALL(at
least not yet). New players need to play!! Save your money and use it to
buy paint and go play. You will get alot better and get more experience.
Getting upgrades for your gun will NOT make you a better player.
Practice will make you a better player.

Once you've learned the game, and learned a bit about the sport you can
decide for yourself what upgrades you need to fit YOUR playing style, not
someone else's.

System X NME LE
WGP Orracle Cocker
Tippmann A-5 E-Grip & LPK
Tippmann 98C Flatline & LPK
