    Posted: 19 November 2005 at 10:07pm
This is my first post an I apologise if I make a mistake anywhere along the line.  Anyways, after Christmas I'm looking to buy an A-5 but im not sure if the flatline is worth it.  I play a lot of woodsball (Only one close).  My question is if i should buy a flatline or go with another barrel.

Welcome to the Forum. Now... Instead of the Flatline, I'd go with the Apex (made by BT). It will give you the range the Flatline is known for, but with the accuracy of a regular barrel. Check out www.pbreview.com for reviews and more opinions though.

The flatline or the apex are both worth it. They're both great barrels. I'd suggest if you can to try and test out both barrels before you choose, that way you pick the barrel that suits you best. Alot of the decision is preference.

I was just reading on the Tippmann website about BT stuff.  I haden't known that.  Is the Apex (due to it being BT) still compatible with the Tippmann A-5?  And is BT stuff to be trusted?

As long as you get the Apex in A-5 threads, it will work on an A-5. and BT makes good stuff, so it can be trusted. As for  testing it, no, I've never shot one, but Bruce did (forum member), and he said it was amazing.

I really don't have any way to test a flatline and less of a chance for the apex.  Pro_carbine, what makes you think the Flatline is better (I request your opinion)?
