What improves performance on that marker? Anything? It looks like you took and slapped a stock and a really short barrel on, and then called it done. 2/10

Snake's right. Needs more performance. But overall, it doesn't look that bad. I like how you made the rear sight that "lip" on HK's.

Whazzupp my friend from across the lake?
I think it looks pretty good. The X7 performs pretty well right out of the box IMHO so immediate performance upgrades can wait a little while. Your cosmetic additions show thought and creativity and make the marker different from the norm. I also like the addition of the straight mag. Stainless steel screws? Hmm, I think it flows well. For looks, I'd say 6 or 7 out of 10. It could use a few custom things, maybe.
As far as performance upgrades, it is lacking, as Snake said. I like it overall though. |

Pretty nice.
I didn't know they made barrel shrouds for the x7 that short. |

Not bad. Not my favorite 7 though.

I like the way it looks. You need to tell us how it performs on the field. My experience with the shorter barrels (I cut a stock A5 one down to 5 inches a while back) is that velocity was decreased 30-40 fps, accuracy was non-existent beyond 35 to 40 feet and it was really loud. None of this was an issue in my circumstances because I only used this barrel in CQB games involving an old building. In this setting the decreased velocity reduced weltage to opponents from close range engagement, accuracy was sufficient for the ranges it was employed at, and the loud report added additional distraction for my opponents.

stock looks ugly IMO but i hate plastic stocks as well as the G36 stock in general, ever consider the MP-5 Spec Ops stock? it would make the gun look alot better and "preform" better in tight corners. what kind of barrel; is that? i see the hammerhead on it but is it the Shark Tooth barrel or is it just the Bore w/o a barrel? MMMMM 6/10, nice over all look but could be better IMHO Edited by Ace_Of_Spades - 24 January 2008 at 11:37am |

it does have an E-grip on it..
i like the UMP look.. i would suggest a longer barrel with a "silencer" cover to regain accuracy and keep the looks |

How so when the Stock can be Folded and tucked away behind the Cyclone? drastically shortening the leinght of the gun. I have the same stock and I love how light the X-7 is. |

QFT. At least it looks as good as non-custom stuff can look to me... Get some more performance upgrades on it man. That barrel may look cool, but would you rather it look cool or shoot straight? If you'd rather it look cool, all the power to you. But I know what I'd prefer. |

eh... doesnt look balanced looks heavy on the back... its not bad... but i mean it looks abused and lonely haha... 6/10 on looks.. for myself, i prefer stocks on guns with longer barrels and heavier shroud for balance but i mean you "really" are all about looks and thats fine but i mean that "pride" will get stuffed with paint on the feild.

I like the look. As for performance if you have the egrip on it that all you need for now. Personally I have just upped the barrel and put on the egrip on my A5. It performs well and I know the X7 performs well on its own. As for the barrel you may want to get one a lil longer barrel. I am sure you like the looks of that one or else you wouldnt have bought it but just to help you hit your target it may help to get one with a lilttle extra length. *edit* And that has to be the sharktooth. If its not it fooled me. Edited by thejudge - 29 January 2008 at 10:46pm |

It sure is hard to impress around here... Question: What exactly add's performance to a Tippmann? All I can really think of is trigger upgrades and cyclone upgrades (after a very nice barrel of course). However, trigger upgrades are only really needed if it fit's your style. The performance of a marker is irrelevant to everyone except the marker's owner IMO. They should get the marker the way they want it and then it's a good marker. As far as looks, I love the look. The second pic is best IMO, I really like that straight mag. Gives it a nice UMP sort of look. Unique too which is plus points. Well done. |

I forgot to mention it in my original post, but I prefer the straight mag as well. So antarious, what is the total length of that barrel and does it cause accuracy/velocity issues because of it?
To everyone who is dogging the usefulness of this marker: If this is set up exclusively for CQB or as he referred to it "tight situations," then the barrel length really isn't an issue. As for the stock, while I run my CQB marker without one, I have to admit their might be advantages to that stock. My guess would be that using it in a CQB game would trade on-target speed for stability; but that is just a guess.
Hmmm . . . there's something missing from that. Quickest way to admit you're too stubborn to change your mind, but are unwilling to argue the point for fear of getting pwned by Snake again: Tack above statements on the end of a bunch of posts and finish it off with "Fin" so you can pretend the discussion is over without ever having had to support/prove your uninformed opinion. Edited to fix silly quoting error. Edited by Mack - 31 January 2008 at 10:38am |
