I have a brand new X7, I just got it today w/ an installed
egrip but I'm already having problems with it. When firing the gun, on full
auto, for any extended amount of time, 20-30 seconds on both 13 and 20 BPS, the
cyclone feeder stops working. Its not that it’s jammed but rather that’s its
just too cold and the gun needs a few minutes until the cyclone will work again, and
this is when it was 90 degrees out. This occurs only with C02, when I fire
compressed air it will fire till the tank is empty. So does anyone know what’s
going on or any upgrades or something that might fix it? aside from compressed air... |

Maybe an in-line regulator would help? That just sounds like you have a CO2 problem. I use C02 and Compressed Air. I obviously prefer the compressed air tank since oxygen is a warm gas, but I've never had that problem with the CO2 tank.
Maybe you have an old tank that's starting to go bad or just a poorly designed one that's crapping out. It would explain wild fluctuations in the PSI output pressure, which might cause the problem you've described. In the end though, I think though you're going to find CO2 is always going to react that way at some point because it's a cold gas that does freeze up after time. After all, who fires their gun at full-auto for 30 seconds anyway? at 20 bps you'd be through 500 rounds in no time. If you are looking for an absolute fix, stick with compressed air. |
